Purchased for £47 on Amazon Sale and could not be happier. A fantastic set. The Samson and cabin build are really cool. Good minifigure selection. The plants could be better. I feel it would have been better had they made the plants twice the size and also included more colourful pieces that would fit with Pandora. All in all VERY happy with this set. Great playability and a very satisfying build.

My kids love Avatar, they’ll watch it again and again so ro be able to get a get Lego set with the original characters is just brilliant, they were blown away!
It’s obviously the quality and design you expect from Lego and although can be played with mine are at the age where its more of a collectors piece.
I’m sure with the new film being out a whole new set of kids will find the original movie and accompanying Lego sets

The Lego set arrived safely, and it comes nicely packed in a well-illustrated retail box, in typical Lego fashion. This model number 75573 set is based on the original Avatar movie, and it features 887 pieces.

The set comes with the Site 26 Lab, RDA aircraft, floating rock scene, five minifigures, and a 6-legged Direhorse. Building the set was a fun and pleasant experience, in part due to the many pieces and well-illustrated, easy to follow instructions.

The Mobile Linking Unit (Site 26 Lab) is a nice model of the one from the film and its easily recognisable especially with its yellow outer struts and staircase. The roof lifts off to reveal a nicely detailed interior with things like the linking unit/bed which opens up to put Jake in, a computer with chair, a screen monitoring Jake, and a few other smaller details.

The RDA Samson is my favourite piece of this set, its an awesome looking VTOL and very accurate to the film’s version. The rotors can tilt, the blades spin, and there are disc shooters at the front for that added bit of realism and entertainment value. The cockpit lifts off to seat the pilot inside and there is space on both sides of the aircraft to fit more minifigures.

The Floating Mountain piece acts as a stand for the RDA unit, there is a connector piece at the top which the aircraft clicks into. The upper rock is held up by a translucent piece to give it a cool floating effect and there are plants around the base, three of which glow in the dark.

This set features the most minifigures in this series including Jake Sully in both his human and Na’vi forms. The three human minifigures have dual printed faces like showing Jake with his mask on and off, and both Na’vi figures are nicely detailed along with each having a weapon.

Overall, I think this is an ideal Lego set for collectors and fans of the Avatar series as it’s a great looking, decent sized set with plenty to see and play with. The price is quite high, but you do get a fair number of pieces and the licensing does play a big part in this so it’s pretty good value for money. It’s certainly a set I’m more than happy to recommend and I feel it’s worth the full five stars!

A really good Lego set, the big box with clear pictures does not do the kit justice as it is a wonderful build, the minifigures are awesome & the building instructions are clear and easy to follow.
