LEGO 75352 Star Wars Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama, Return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary Lightsaber Dual Set, Collectible Gift for Adults with Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader…

Wanted something Star Wars related to give as a gift to our daughter who is a huge Star Wars fan – indeed she recently attended the Star Wars Celebration event in London – and has just secured her first job! When I saw the LEGO 75352 Star Wars Emperor’s Throne Room set was available as a 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, I immediately ordered it as I knew she would be thrilled. The set comes in a typical Lego branded cardboard box which in this case contains some 807 pieces to be assembled into an accurate replication of the famous throne room scene and the set actually rotates.

In terms of the actual set once built (which took her around 3 hours over two nights) it seems robust enough for a bit of imaginary role play with the figures, the attention to detail is excellent in typical Lego fashion, and it depicts the famous scene very well and. Our daughter was delighted with the finished product and has vowed that this will be just the beginning of a collection that it appears we have started by gifting this to her. Obviously this is not a cheap item, probably some licensing and other franchise costs will have been involved but at an RRP of £89.99 (currently 20% off at £71.99) for something this size it appears steep to me but then I am not fanatically immersed in the universe so I don’t count! Overall this gave her great pleasure and I know she has it in pride of place amongst all of the Star Wars memorabilia, movies and figures. The force was strong with this diorama, I think we chose rather well.

Another amazing build courtesy of Lego; this builds incorporates some great techiniques that will occupy the builder allowing you to set the scene for the showdown of the light and dark sides.
Minifigures are great and the chair is a nice design capturing the shape of the on screeen throne.
Price wise is not the best but it is worth it to add this to your collection, it sits great alongside previous releases and matches up pretty well in height and scale.

Brilliant set great for display

 I absolutely love this “Star Wars”, 40th anniversary set.
So this set has a great aesthetic, and is an impressive size, I’m not sure what I expected, but this is more impressive than whatever it was, I think it looks great.
Now something I really liked about this set, is the instructions, they are clear, easy to follow, and the diagrams and text are a decent size. Fact is I sat making this in one go, and I think a testament to the set is that at no point did I feel bored, or frustrated, quite the opposite, it was somewhat exciting to watch it take shape, and as I added the details, to the main part, it just looked better and better, and became more and more, a true portrayal of the “Star Wars” universe, which I absolutely love.
So it comes with arguably 3 of the most wanted figures, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and the Emperor, all of which I think look great. I love the way they have made Darth Vaders helmet work, in parts to be fitted as opposed to just making it 1 solid piece, I like how they did it better.
As I sat making this it became more and more solid and detailed, but it just felt sturdier as I went. I love the fact there are options too, I can give the Emperor SFX of “Energy” from his hands, or use those to show power on the “Throne set”, I also like the fact that instead of just some moulded plastic for their capes, they actually have “material capes”, I think thats a great touch.
The build quality of all the pieces is very nice, they are all precise, with clean, crisp edges, adn fit together just how they should.
All in all, this is a fantastic set, with a real presence when made up and sitting in front of me.
