LEGO 10274 Icons Ghostbusters ECTO-1 Car Kit, Large Set for Adults, Gift Idea for Men, Women, Her, Him, Collectable Model for Display, Nostalgic Home Décor

I recently purchased the Lego Rover Defender set which took me close to 20 hours to aseemble. I searched the Amazon market for another set (primarily another aimed at adults) and came across this. This set seems yo be relatively new and was £170 at the time of purchase. It has close to 2400 individual parts and was about 150 shy of the defender. In build time, you are looking at around 15 hours or so if you take time to study and go back over previous sections to ensure you are doing the steps correctly, as if you mess up one stage then you will notice it down the line at the next stages. At time of purchase this product had one review which was not a verified, but took the plunge anyway. This is an easy to assemble set and has great detail. Please see the two images I have uploaded for box art and a picture of the completed set. The product has a back door which opens, one main drivers door, a side door on the left side with 3 seats, one of which is a gunners seat, which comes out and aligns with the car, which is interesting. Lots of detail has gone onto the roof, so you have gas cannisters and what not, ladders and other detail. The build also includes a small robotic car which I assume is used to catch the ghosts. Apologies as I haven’t watched the film in many years. This can be stored in the back of the vehicle. Overall, a top set and for this you will expect to pay a premium price, of course. Worthwhile set if you enjoy building and modelling the sets afterwards. This set is not ideal for kids as small parts are included and can fall off relatively easily (roof area for example). Purchase technics if you have room for display, ideally in some kind of display case. Enjoy!

I thought my Lego days were way in the past. My son got me a Mustang set for my birthday last year and it took me about 6 months to get round to making it. As soon as the last brick went on that I started seeking out the next “project”.
I did see this in the Lego shop in Bluewater Shopping Center and was a bit awestruck then, so this was the one I went for, and I certainly haven’t been disappointed.
It probably took me about 28-30 hours in total to build. The manual is clear and easy to follow, as you’d expect from Lego. The attention to little details is astounding; like the engine bay, the seat that pops out the side, the little remote control vehicle that roll out the trapdoor underneath. It really was a stress free and pleasurable activity.
Apart from all that, I’ve ended up with an impressive display piece that I proudly show off and visitors politely nod and acknowledge!!
My only annoyance is that Amazon emailed me about a fortnight after I bought it to say it had gone down £30 (why do you do that Amazon!!! Every…..goddam…..time!!!!), oh, and that I now have an expensive Lego addiction to feed.

Bought it for an 11 year old loved building this. Must admit had his moments and when one thing went wrong so did lots of others but roughly took 14 hrs for him to complete this very much worth its price, came before given date in a rather battered box.
