Being an adult Lego collector, I
know I’m biased, but have to say, this is a really stunning set and I’ll actually be leaving it on display a while. I prefer the build process and usually pack down sets shortly after building – ready to enjoy the build again or create something new. But the details and design of this set deserve their own display shelf!

Price on Amazon was competitive and delivery was fantastic.

I find most Lego models interesting or admirable, but not particularly beautiful or desirable. That is, until Lego Rivindell appeared. Stunning and substantial in every way, with a great set of minifigures, and not like the (disappointing i.m.o.) scale of Hogwarts and its microfigures. It is best displayed in a custom-made clear plastic case, which protects not only from accidental breakage but also from dust. I now eagerly await the next Lego LOTR 18+ installment (rumoured to be Barad-Dur)!

Since I read the books in the early seventies I have collected a whole load of LOTR memorabilia and sets and this takes a high place in that collection. I must admit I have not built it yet but thought it would turn out to be highly collectible piece and that within a few months the price would escalate to extremes like many other specialist Lego kits. I have a few other Lego Technic kits to work on before I tackle this huge set but I want to enjoy every moment going into the autum and in the winter with the lighting kits.It will be the centre peice of my flat prominantly displayed along side my other LOTR collectables, films,figures, books,rings, swords and pipes.
Lego has always been a part of my life from early childhood, young adult, parent and now in my dotage, it keeps my mind active and is always satisfying to complete a project from F1 cars to bikes and film creations.

Great set. But delivered without an external box so actual Lego box was damaged and stickers were on actual Lego box. I don’t want to return it, but not ideal if you’re a collector. I just wanted the set. But it’s a shame.
