This set is massive, it’s heavy, the build process is difficult, it takes around 15 hours to build casually but if you power through it can be done in a day (I wouldn’t recommend) if you can pick this set up on discount do it the jewel of my Lego car collection!

This is an excellent and in depth kit which builds a superb model with all the curves in the right places. My only discrepancy is in the manual; Lego should be about learning, but you’re literally building this model blind, as there is no indication as to what you’re building when you start each new section, there should be some kind of introduction saying what you’re building and how it works, like a little writeup on the differential, how the gearbox works, etc. As it is, you’re learning nothing with pictures only instructions.

Having built the previous three Lego 1 / 8 scale super cars I was concerned that the built process might be repetitive as I found the Bugatti and Lamborghini to be. Not a problem.the techniques employed are uniquely ingenious. In particular the construction of the engine cover with parts following the curved line of flexible rods is little short of genius. So buy, build and if not entirely happy sell and take the loss. Alternatively, hold on for several years and realise a small profit, look it’s simple it’s fun and life ain’t that long!
