Das hat prima funktioniert, er hat vier Tage daran gebastelt, natürlich nicht den ganzen Tag, sondern immer ein paar Stündchen. Die Freundin, die mit ihm in Quarantäne war, hat sich dann auch noch beteiligt und das Auto mit den Aufklebern verziert. Die beiden hatten also Spaß und eine Ablenkung, Kurz vor Weihnachten rief unser zwischenzeitlich 21-jähriger Sohn aus Hamburg an, er könne leider nicht kommen, man kann sich in diesen Zeiten sicherlich denken warum. Ich habe mir überlegt, ob er in der folgenden Quarantäne vielleicht Spaß daran haben könnte ein wenig zu basteln und die trüben Gedanken so zu vertreiben.

Zwischenzeitlich hat er uns im neuen Jahr in Frankfurt besucht und das Modell mitgebracht, wirklich sehr beeindruckend, insbesondere die vielen Details wie Federung, Zylinder im Motor und so weiter. Hier kann man also auch viel über den Autobau lernen.

A dream in reality, a reality in Lego. The Porsche 911 is one of the ultimate sports cars that any enthusiast must have. Provided with a detailed, well laid out, colourful ~500 step instruction booklet – I was able to successfully complete this Lego car.
A decision that some may say is controversial, I enjoyed not having the bags numbered. As a set targeted towards the older audience, I thought it provided more of a challenge than previous sets. I discovered that there were no missing pieces; and there was also some spare common Lego parts in case some did go astray which was pleasing to see.
The technic capabilities is appealing on completion. To see the moving parts and the in-built suspension really shows the detailed level that Lego and Porsche have concomitantly invested to deliver an impressive product.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed completing the Porsche 911 and had hours of entertainment. If you have a passion for cars and Lego then this set is definitely the perfect product for you.

As this is a replica, the bags are numbered completely wrong, causing major frustration when finding that one specific small piece. The quality of the plastic is also questionable. However, being sold 50 pounds cheaper than what Lego sells it for, may make sense for some.

I was looking for a Christmas gift for my partner. Who is very hard to please. Plus he likes a challenge. The item arrived 2 days before the delivery date. Which I was very happy about. I do not know about assembly or durability due to being a gift. But over all , from what I’ve seen of the product. I’m very happy.
Update. This gift was welcomed with alot of joy. My partner has been on the assembly for a few days. Doing an hour or so at a time. In no rush to finish it. Very complexed. No numbers on the bags. And parts are mixed up a little in the bags. So this product is definitely made for the older child and more to the adult level. If this item has been bought for a child or is intended for a child. They WILL need an adult with them. (Unless they are like Sheldon.) Brilliant product.
